PF is taxing God, we shall remove that – HH

Opposition UPND president Hakainde Hichilema has charged that the taxing of the Church by PF government is unacceptable.

Hichilema or HH as he is commonly referred to says taxing the Church is like taxing God.

The UPND strongman has assured the Church that once he forms government he will not tax the Church. He has sympathized with the Church.

“When in government, we will ensure that any activity or instrument used to take the gospel forward is not taxed, because taxing that which is used to preach the gospel, for example music instruments is the same as taxing God, Almighty our creator,” charged Hichilema during a Church service at Mapepe SDA in Chilanga district.

HH who was accompanied by his Wife Mutinta said he enjoyed the service whose message was centred on unity of purpose for Christians to achieve  atheir our goals.

“We are fully aware that the Church is equally under stress regarding the social and economic development. However we would like to encourage people to remember God’s word which states ‘He has made everything beautiful in His time,” said HH.
