PF cadres attack NDC supporters

Armed PF cadres this morning brutally attacked NDC supporters who had gone to Lusaka Central Police to offer solidarity to Chishimba Kambwili who was appearing before the Anti-Fraud Unit for questioning.

The machete-wielding PF cadres from Intercity Bus Terminus arrived in four vehicles and launched a surprise attack on their opponents – who had gathered at Levy Junction Mall after Police had driven them off the sidewalk of Church Road – injuring about four NDC cadres in the process.

One was hacked on the forehead and had to be rushed to the hospital by an emergency vehicle from Levy Mall.

Chipoka Mulenga, the NDC Copperbelt Province chairman, was hit on the hand while many managed to flee from the rampaging PF cadres.

A security guard at Levy Mall was also caught up in the fracas and was injured.

The PF cadres later sped off.
