The poultry association of Zambia (PAZ) is concerned with the persistent high price of stock feed on the market.
PAZ Executive Manager, Dominic Chanda says the insufficient maize stock on the Zambian market has forced stock feed producers to hike the price of the commodity.
Mr Chanda tells phoenix business news that the sector has recorded approximately over 25 percent increase of stock feed on the local market.
He says going forward, it will be difficult to increase production of poultry products without revisiting the current prices.
