Pastor Godfridah Sumaili appointed Religious Affairs Minister

President Edgar Lungu has with immediate effect nominated as Member of Parliament and appointed Pastor Godfridah Sumaili as Minister of National Guidance and Religion.

Lungu, who created the ministry for the first time in the history of Zambia, is expected to swear in Pastor Sumaili in a separate ceremony after hosting a swearing in ceremony at State House this morning.

Pastor  Sumaili is a pastor in Bread of Life Church International, and until her appointment served as leader of the Women of Integrity Ministry.
