Over six million eligible to vote
The Electoral Commission of Zambia has in their latest update released the final voter register for 2016 General elections.
6,710,405 voters have been successfully captured and appears in the voters roll. According to the latest voters roll Lusaka Province is leading with 1,121,846 registered voters followed by Copperbelt Province with 1,038,434.
Southern and Eastern Provinces have registered 812,590 , 777,379 respectively
Others are Central Province with 643,226, Central Province has 556, 855 Luapula Province is at 511, 057 and Western Province has 499, 873
Whilst on the bottom is North Western with 399,784 and the newest Province Muchinga 349,411
The 2016 elections are mostly contested between Incumbent Edgar Lungu and Hakainde Hichilema. The winner must have more that 50+1 votes of the total casted ballots.
