One Scottish cyclist killed and one hospitalized in Kalomo road traffic accident, Police say

A FOREIGN woman aged 54 from Scotland was killed by a motorist in Kalomo district, Southern province.The accident happened yesterday around 17:30 hrs as the two foreign tourists were cycling along the Great North Road opposite Kalomo High School and involved a Corolla registration number AJC 1396 which was being driven by Gift Miyoba aged 30 years of Mcraymond compound in Kalomo.Southern Province Police Commissioner Bonny Kapeso has reported that due to inexperience, the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit the two cyclists who were cycling in the same direction.Kapeso identified the cyclists as female Jane Grey aged 54 years of Scotland who sustained a deep cut on her forehead and died upon reaching Kalomo District hospital, and female Julia Martin aged 54 years of England who sustained chest pains and a suspected fractured back.Kapeso said the body of the deceased was deposited to Kalomo District hospital Post Views: 2
