North West Asked To ‘Take A Plane To Heaven’ To Wish Kanye’s Late Mum A Happy Birthday

So this is perhaps one of the most heartbreaking celebrity stories of the day.

Kanye West took to Twitter last night to wish his late mum Donda a happy birthday, revealing that his three-year-old daughter North asked to “take a plane to heaven” to see her.

Ahh, our hearts can’t take it.

Posting to his millions of followers, Kanye shared a throwback photo of himself alongside his mother and wrote: “Nori asked if the airplane could take her to heaven to see you for your brithday, I love you.”

Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian also paid her respects to Donda, retweeting a fan’s message of love and support that read: “#HappyBirthdayDondaWest Thank you for the son you raised so beautifully.

“Rest peacefully.”

Earlier this year, Kanye – who is also dad to seven-month-old Saint – revealed that he plans to release a video game which immortalises his mother, saying at the time: “I worked on a video game and I wanted to show you all. The idea of the game is my mom travelling through the gates of heaven.”

Donda sadly passed away in 2007 following surgery complications, with Kanye previously admitting that he blames himself moving to LA for her death.

Happy Birthday, Donda – we bet that she couldn’t be more proud of  her son.
