New deals on cards

STEVEN MVULA, Lusaka
MAJOR economic agreements between Zambia and China are on the cards next week during President Edgar Lungu’s visit to the Asian economic giant.
The stage will be set tomorrow when President Lungu meets Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing to discuss a broad range of cooperation agreements on economic and political issues as part of a loaded schedule that awaits the Zambian leader.
“This visit to China is remarkable. It is the biggest tour. There will be technological transfers and major agreements to be signed,” special assistant to the President for press and public relations Amos Chanda, told journalists yesterday.
He said President Lungu, who left for China yesterday, will hold bilateral talks with Mr Xi.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
