Munkombwe: PF Members Now Chewing Bones, MMD has Taken Over

VETERAN politician Daniel Munkombwe says PF members are now chewing bones because the MMD has taken over the ruling party.
And Munkombwe says the PF should leave vengeance to God because the Bible says so.
Meanwhile, Munkombwe, 84, says he has no appetite for any political position in the PF but that his silence over the immaturity by the ruling party has been haunting him.
In an interview, Munkombwe, a former Southern Province minister, said Michael Sata was grieving in his grave at what had become of the PF.
“The current PF is being led by the MMD. If people don’t know, the PF members are now chewing bones while the MMD members are eating steak they fought over with Michael Sata. If they can’t see, they should look at all the most important positions of the party and who is in charge,” Munkombwe said.
He also praised traditional leaders from Southern Province for speaking out against the victimisation of public workers by the PF government.
Munkombwe said he had led an exemplary political life and has always preached peace and non-tribalism.
“I have never used any insolent words against anybody,” he said. “When Vernon Mwaanga, Anna Munkombwe, Mr Mubukwanu, who is the father to Western Province minister Nathaniel Mubukwanu were in UNIP and I was a fanatical supporter of the ANC, I would warn them of any attacks planned against them and told them to leave their houses…the Bible in Romans and Deuteronomy, God says ‘Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath…it is mine to avenge’.”
Munkombwe appealed to political veterans to continue talking about the need for good political governance.
“I have no appetite for any political position in the PF, but their poor political governance is a thorn in my flesh. If a PF leader says cadres should take over plots, markets and bus stations, that is preaching anarchy. Anyway, it shows the levels of political immaturity in the PF. I have tried to be silent but my silence has been haunting me as some public workers and men and women in uniforms have been fired, demoted or transferred for either being from North-Western, Western or Southern provinces,” said Munkombwe who appealed to President Edgar Lungu to take a leaf from Dr Kenneth Kaunda and unite Zambians.
