MTN invests $36 million on network coverage

TRYNESS TEMBO, Lusaka
MTN Zambia has invested about US$36 million towards improving network coverage across the country this year.
Currently, the company is rolling out new mobile money booths, MTN stores countrywide and investment towards a faster network, data access and financial inclusion.
MTN Zambia chief technical officer Thomas Motlepa said by the end of this year the company plans to roll out 290 new sites to increase mobile coverage in remote areas.
“We will continue to invest in our operation. Last year we invested US$6.5 million while this year we have invested US$35.7 million in expanding our third generation network and fourth generation.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
