MPOMBO REFUTES RETURN TO UPND

Opposition People’s Democratic Party -PDP- President George Mpombo has refuted media reports circulating online that he has rejoined the United Party for National Development (UPND).
Mr. Mpombo told ZANIS Ndola in a walk-in interview that the story published by one of the online publications is a complete falsehood adding that he has no intentions of rejoining the UPND.
He explained that the online publication in question has used an old picture of him with UPND officials.
He further revealed that now, he is politically neutral, saying he had even disbanded his People’s Democratic Party three years ago.
Mr. Mpombo has since appealed to all well-meaning Zambians to practice politics of unity and not name calling.
