Minimum pay for maids is now K 993.60, Minister Joyce Simukoko says

WITH immediate effect the minimum wage for domestic workers has increased from K522.4 to K993.60 with transport allowance inclusive, Labour and Social Security Minister Joyce Simukoko said on Friday.Minister Joyce Simukoko also added that shop workers’ will now get K1,698.60 including  transport, lunch and housing allowances.The Minister has since urged employers to ensure they abide by the new law.
