Miles Sampa Withdraws Mayoral Adoption Application

Lusaka Mayor Miles Sampa has withdrawn his application to re-contest the position in the 12th August 2021 elections.
In a letter addressed to the patriotic front party leadership in Lusaka and seen by phoenix news, Mr. Sampa says he has decided to withdraw his application after consultations with his family and friends.
He has urged the Patriotic Front to accordingly, consider the application to contest as Lusaka mayor null and void.
The letter does not highlight the reasons for pulling out of the race.
Efforts to get Mr. Sampa on why he has decided to withdraw his application failed as his mobile phone went unanswered.
Yesterday, Mr. Sampa lost the Provincial Secretary position to his rival Mwenya Matafwali at the PF Lusaka province election.
