Lusaka pupils protest over suspension of exams

PUPILS at Lusaka’ Olympia Secondary School today staged a protest demanding that they be allowed to write exams.This follows the suspension of Grade 7,9, and grade 12 examinations by the Ministry of General Education after the exam paper was leaked online.And Police in the process arrested ten (10) pupils who were matter released after being warned and cautioned.Those arrested included some grade 8, 10, 11, And grade 12 as they blocked the road using stones.Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo said officers managed to move in and quelled the situation.She said upon seeing police officers, the pupils started throwing stones at the officers .And Katongo has warned that any further misconduct by the pupils will not be condoned.(File Picture by The Speech Analyst) Post Views: 2
