Lungu visits world’s major copper refinery

KASUBA MULENGA, Nanchang, China
PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu yesterday visited Jiangxi Copper Corporation Limited, the world’s second largest copper smelting and refining company.
The visit was aimed at familiarising himself with operations of the company, which refines and sells the metal after adding value to it.
The President’s administration has embarked on an industrialisation programme aimed at promoting value addition to products and creating jobs for Zambians.
Established in 1979, Jiangxi Copper Corporation Limited is a state-owned enterprise which is the only affiliate of Fortune Global 500 Companies in Jiangxi Province.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
