Lungu a failure – HH

13770468_1136973183051502_5250237294366825736_nUnited Party for National Development (UPND) presidential candidate Hakainde Hichilema has charged that President Edgar Lungu has failed to govern the nation.

Hichilema told thousands of Kanyama residents who gathered at Kanyama’s Twashuka grounds in Lusaka, that Lungu has completely failed to manage the country, leading to the escalation of prices of essential commodities.

“Lungu has completely failed to govern. He must retire and go back to chawama.  He found fertilizer selling at K150, right now a bag of fertilizer is K450,” Hichilema told the boisterous crowd.

“I went to School with government money, I am not ashamed to say I walked bare footed for the first three years of my school life and I owe it to you Zambians who educated me and made me what I am today,” he added.

And Hichilema has accused the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) of working with the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) in recruiting its cadres as District Polling Officers.

Earlier, former Republican Vice President Guy Scott sternly warned all foreign nationals to stay away from Zambia on the polling day.

Dr. Scott, who frequently broke into song when delivering his speech, also urged voters to forge ahead despite the intimidation which he alleged as being perpetrated by PF.

Others who attended the rally includes Lusaka aspiring parliamentary candidates, Sylvia Masebo, Potipher Tembo, Dr Charllotte Scott, Mulenga Sata and Mayoral Candidate Dr Maureen Mwanawasa. Former MPs Obvious Mwaliteta and Gabriel Namulambe were also among the UPND speakers.13723941_1136973716384782_3437988020242564851_o13775491_1136972876384866_8841158990422263805_n
