Lufwanyama Senior Civil Servant Questions Transfer Facebook

A Lufwanyama District Administrative Officer identified as Chipawa Chipawa has fallen foul of the trappings of social media by whining about his transfer on social media.

Chipawa has staged a Facebook funeral after being transferred for the umpteenth time in his 13-year civil service career.

In his Facebook posting, Chipawa who was recently moved to Chililabombwe from Kalumbila District and now Lufwanyama has questioned whether the transfers are building or destroying him.

“Lufwanyama District, tour of duty. Flash Back: Ikelen’gi District, Chavuma District, Solwezi District, Mwinilunga District, Kalumbila District, Chililabombwe District and now Lufwanyama District. Is it building me or destroying me? Not stayed long with my family. Decision to be made soon,” he posted on Facebook.

“Which civil servant in our province (North Western Province) that you know has moved like I have done in seven districts within 13 years of service?” he lamented to his followers.

The Facebook syndrome has become endemic in the Zambian society with civil servants getting sucked in the sometimes self-destructive practice.
