Localize Manufacturing Of Garments For The Military, Police And Nurses

Academician And Senior Researcher Kelvin Chibomba has underscored the importance of supporting the local industry by localizing the manufacturing of garments for the military, police, and nurses.
Mr Chibomba tells phoenix business news that the potential to tap into Zambia’s industrial base needs practical actions by both government and industry players.
He says by doing so, Zambia will stand ready to offer significant wealth and job creation opportunities especially that the country is endowed with all the raw materials needed to advance the industrialization agenda.
Mr Chibomba has further advised private sector players to quickly take advantage of the enabling environment provided by the government to ensure the sustained expansion of the manufacturing sector particularly in the textiles industry.
