Kitwe High Court Reinstates Kazala As FAZ Vice-President

The Kitwe High Court has reinstated Chingola-based football administrator Richard Kazala as FAZ vice-president.

According to an exparte order delivered by Judge Timothy Katanekwa, Kazala is reinstated for the remainder of his term.

Kazala had sought legal redress through the Court of Arbitration in Sport (CAS) who advised that if unsatisfied with the resolution, he was at liberty to seek justice through the Zambian court system.

CAS had ordered FAZ to give Kazala a fair hearing in the interest of natural justice but the association neglected to meet certain obligations ahead of the annual general meeting on Saturday.

FAZ was given up to March 26 to respond to Kazala’s court challenge but fell short leading to the order of reinstatement.

Kazala is represented by NK Kaunda and Advocates.
