Kanyama UPND dissolves into PF

MOVED by expansive development projects being implemented across Zambia, the United Party for National Development (UPND) Kanyama constituency chairman, Gordon Chooka, and the entire youth leadership yesterday defected to the ruling Patriotic Front (PF).The defections are the latest in a string of resignations by UPND officials joining the governing party.
Mr Chooka, who has been a member of the UPND for 20 years, said yesterday that he has left the opposition party because he wants to see development in the constituency.
He said he has been a UPND member since 1998 but that he cannot remain in a stagnant party.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
