Kambwili arrested for being in possession of money suspected to be proceeds of crime

Police in Lusaka have arrested opposition NDC consultant and Roan PF Member of Marliament Chishimba Kambwili and charged him with two counts of obtaining pecuniary advantage and 37 counts of being in possession of money reasonably suspected to the proceeds of crime.

Kambwili, who arrived at Woodlands Police Station around 09:10 hours this morning, was questioned by police before being formally arrested and detained.

He is expected to appear in court soon.

And the former Information Minister’s lawyer Christopher Mundia has expressed confidence that his client will be acquitted on all charges.
