K6.5 billion 2019 allocation has given hope – Mushota

Housing and Infrastructure Development Permanent Secretary Charles Mushota says the 2019 national budget has given hope to the construction sector.

Mr. Mushota says with the K6.5 billion allocated to the road sector in particular, there is now impetus by the Ministry to continue with the implementation of various road construction projects.

In an interview with QTV News, Mr. Mushota has referred to the Kazungula Bridge project as one such project whose implementation will continue in 2019.

He states that implementation of the Link Zambia 8000 and the project to construct urban roads will equally continue in the coming year.

Mr Mushota says with respect to the rural road connectivity, his Ministry will now advertise for Eastern Province before the project is rolled out to the rest of the Country.
