High profile friendly matches for the Copper Queens ahead of  Olympics on the cards

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) says they are working on organising a few high profile friendly matches for the Zambia Women’s National Team before the Olympics.

FAZ President Andrew Kamanga confirmed the development in his weekly update, The President’s corner.

Kamanga has no doubt the Copper Queens will be adequately prepared before the Paris 2024 Olympics.

“We are doing the same for the Paris 2024 Olympic bound Copper Queens with some high profile friendly games on the cards. We have had a fruitful engagement with the National Olympic Committee to align our program for preparations with their schedule and plans. We have no doubt the Copper Queens will get the best possible preparations before they take to the Olympics.”

The Copper Queens booked a place at the 2024 Paris  Olympics last month following a 3-2 aggregate win over the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco.

The women’s football tournament at the 2024 Summer Olympics will be held from 25 July to 10 August 2024.
