Hichilema’s Conduct Delaying Announcement Of Results; Demands Lusaka Voted Halted

Garry Nkombo-AkufunaUPND president Hakainde Hichilema’s conduct at Mulungushi International Conference Centre where the votes for the 2016 elections are being transmitted has been attributed to the delay in announcing the next round.

Hichilema and his team that includes running mate Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba, lawmaker Garry Nkombo and Nevers Mumba have been at Mulungushi holding ECZ officials hostage.

Hichilema’s crew are demanding that votes for Lusaka province be halted because they don’t reflect his true performance.

ECZ chairperson Esau Chulu was due to announce more constituencies at 14: 30. Only 69 constituencies have so far been announced with President Edgar Lungu leading by 55, 828.
