HH, Canisius address thousands in Eastern province

UPND President Hakainde Hichilema has kicked off his campaigns in Eastern province.

Hichilema who is accompanied by his two Vice presidents – Canisius Banda and Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba left Lusaka Friday morning.

And HH has bemoaned the lack of priority on the part of the ruling PF Government in key sectors such as lacking essential medicines for patients in rural areas.

Explaining his 10 Point Plan for Zambia in the rural Constituency of Lumezi in Eastern Province this afternoon, Mr. Hichilema said Zambia needed a leadership that provided quality social services such as healthcare and education.

The UPND leader, who spoke mainly in the local language of the area at a mammoth rally, said people in rural communities were resorting to using herbs for treatment.

He reiterated his desire to improve the agriculture sector in the country as one way of providing affordable food which was key to a healthy nation.

His vice President for Politics Dr. Canisius Banda said he will work hand in hand with Mr. Hichilema in order to deliver and govern a healthy Zambia.

This afternoon thousands of Lumezi Constituency residents turned out to listen to the UPND leader’s messages.
