Headwoman, husband, 82, hacked to death

NANCY SIAME, Lusaka
A 62-year-old headwoman and her 82-year-old husband have been hacked to death in Mafinga District in Muchinga Province.
The couple’s 12-year-old grandson is nursing serious injuries sustained in the attack by unknown people.
Muchinga Province Police Commissioner Chola Katanga said the three were attacked in their sleep on Wednesday around 02:00 hours at Itontela Village in Chief Mwenechifungwe’s realm.
“Information coming from the community is that the village headwoman was practicing witchcraft and was the target,” he said.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
