Great North Road gets €110 million

ZAMBIA has signed a €110 million (about K1.27 billion) concessional loan with the European Investment Bank (EIB) for a duration of 20 years for the upgrading and expansion of 372 kilometres of the Great North Road.Minister of Finance Margaret Mwanakatwe signed on behalf of Zambia while EIB head of country relations and public sector sub-Saharan Africa Dederick Zambon signed on behalf of the European Union Bank.
Mr Zambon said EIB will further blend the loan with an investment grant of €72 million (K870 million).http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
