Lands Minister Jean Kapata has revealed that her ministry has received recommendations from the traditional leaders on national land policy.

Ms. Kapata has told journalists in Lusaka that the traditional leaders held an indaba to further analyze the draft land policy and came up with recommendations to submit to government for consideration of which she has studied the report.

She says when the house of chiefs will be sitting in June this year, her ministry present the document and analyze what the chiefs have written.

Ms. Kapata  says that this will help compare the two documents and be able to iron out the differences between the ministry and the issues that have been raised by the chiefs.

The lands minister has however added that she is in a hurry to put the land policy on the table.

She states that the land policy is not about an individual but is rather about the 15 million Zambians that are disadvantaged where land issues are concerned.
