GOLF:ZAMBIA DEFENDS TRI-NATION

Zambia has defended the 2018 Tri-nations Junior Boys Golf championship for the third year running in Harare, Zimbabwe.
The Zambia Junior Boys National team accumulated 29 points after five rounds played at Wingate park golf club following a three-day event held last weekend.
Zambia Junior Golf Director Chongo Kasongole told ZNBC Sports that the hosts Zimbabwe finished second and Malawi was third after both teams jointly amassed 17 points.
Kasongole however said the Junior Girls championship was scooped by Zimbabwe on 20-point 5 points and Zambia Junior Girls national team finished second with 18 points while Malawi was bottom.
And Coach Patrick Mwendapole said he is happy the Zambian Junior Boys squad has clinched a hattrick of Tri-nations trophies after they also lifted the championship on a trot in 2016 and 2017.
The Tri-nations national junior golf championship is a tree-day event comprising Zambia, Malawi and host Zimbabwe which teed-off in Harare from 18th to 20th December 2018.
