Give Chipolopolo support – Kamanga urges Fans

Football Association of Zambia President Andrew Kamanga has urged the fans to give the Chipolopolo Boys maximum support ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Kamanga who was speaking in his weekly update, The President’s corner said the fans should speak positively into the team’s aspirations and urge them to make the nation proud.

Kamanga has also hinted on International friendly matches for the 2012 AFCON winners while in Saudi Arabia for their international camp.

“The Chipolopolo preparations for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations are underway with the team entering camp in the next few days in Lusaka. The team will then head to Saudi Arabia for the international camp where they will play some friendly matches. Naturally, Saudi Arabia is logistically logical as other teams will set up pre-tournament camps there which makes it easy to network on friendly games,” Kamanga wrote.

“It also provides a quiet corner to prepare better for the assignment at hand. We have every reason to believe that with good preparations we can have a fruitful tournament. We have a group of players that have grown together over time and are hungry to write their own history. Our duty is to ensure that we support them organizationally.”

“We also appeal to the fans to speak positively to the team’s aspirations and urge them to make our nation proud. We have consolidated our engagements with the government over the preparations for the AFCON and hopeful that all the logistics will be on point,” he added.

The team will enter a local camp on 26th December to start preparations for the 34th edition of the biennial African association football tournament organised by Confederation of African Football.
