Socialist Party President Fred M’membe has called for respect and civility in the way the Zambian government deals with diplomats accredited to Zambia.

Dr M’membe is of the view that whether diplomats accredited to Zambia are wrong or right in various matters civility, respect and sensitivity is very important.

Reacting to the recent row between the Zambian and us government over the jailing of two men for practicing gaysm, Dr M’membe is of the view that pouring scorn and insults on diplomats over misunderstandings is bad foreign policy which brings complications.

During an interaction meeting with journalists in Lusaka at the socialist party secretariat this morning, dr M’membe advised government to avoid extending the humiliation and disrespect of Zambians to diplomats.
