FLAVA FM Employee Jailed 2 Years For Theft
The Kitwe magistrate court has sentenced an accountant at Flava FM Limited two years imprisonment for stealing over K129, 000.
In this case Muswe Mwilu was charged with one count of theft by servant,
On unknown dates but between January 1, 2017 and April 30th, 2017 Mwilu stole K129,532 from Flava Fm Limited.
In mitigation, Mwilu pleaded with the court for leniency saying he was a family man with a 14-month-old-baby and a pregnant wife.
Delivering judgment, Magistrate Malota Phiiri said he had heard Mwilu’s mitigations and decided to sentence him to two years imprisonment.
“I have heard your mitigation and I have exercised leniency. I sentence you to two years imprisonment effective January 5, 218” he said.
