Ex-Solwezi MP Richard Taima Dragged To Court Over K430,000

FORMER Solwezi East Member of Parliament (MP) Richard Taima has been taken to court for allegedly failing to pay K430,000 legal fees charged during his election petition.

The fees accrued during the petition in which he was challenged after his election as MP in the September 2011 general elections.
In a statement of claim filed in the Lusaka High Court by Central Chambers, the law firm has submitted that in October 2011, Mr Taima instructed it to represent him in the matter.
