Eastern UPND Calls For Arrest Of PASME Radio Journalist Attackers

By Phoenix Correspondent

The Opposition UPND in eastern province is calling for the arrest of unknown assailants, who attacked PASME radio presenter, Joseph Tembo in Petauke district.

About seven masked assailants stormed the radio station on Saturday and disrupted the airing of a radio programme dubbed ‘let the people talk’, just when it was about to go live and was to feature UPND officials.

UPND Provincial Spokesperson Victor Mbuzi has told phoenix news that it is saddening that attacks on media institutions for hosting opposition political parties have continued.

By broadcast time, Eastern Province Police Deputy Commissioner, Geoffrey Kunda said he had not yet received the full details of what transpired from the officer in charge in Petauke.
