Don’t impound vehicles without tax or fitness renewal – RTSA

The Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) has asked law enforcement agencies not to impound vehicles without test certificates and road tax documents because its system is still down.

RTSA Head of Public Relations Fred Mubanga says officers must abide to the earlier communication in which the agency advised them not to detain vehicles without road tax and test certificate documents until the system becomes operational.

Mr. Mubanga said the temporary suspension of issuance of test certificates and road tax is still in effect.

He said the agency is working tirelessly to ensure the system is restored as soon as possible.
