COSAFA wants Kalu replaced at CAF

DESPITE his name still appearing as Confederation of African Football (CAF) executive committee member, the Council of Southern African Football Associations (COSAFA) has resolved to replace football legend Kalusha Bwalya with Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) president Phillip Chiyangwa.
Kalusha was last month banned for two years by FIFA following an investigation into links to banned Qatari official Mohammed Bin Hammam but the 1988 footballer-of-the-year has appealed.
Kalusha collected US$80,000 from Bin Hammam.
During the COSAFA executive committee meeting in Johannesburg on Friday, the regional body resolved to endorse Chiyangwa, who is also COSAFA president, to replace Kalusha at CAF.
