COPPERBELT RECEIVES NEW ROADS

Copperbelt province minister Japhen Mwakalombe says the upgrading of township roads in Chingola will enhance trade among the residents in the mining town.
Mr. Mwakalombe who inspected the ongoing road works in the district said with the infrastructure development, Chingola will soon reclaim its lost glory of being the cleanest town in the country.
He said it is government’s desire to lessen road traffic accidents by ensuring people drive on smooth and quality roads as they transport goods and services.
The Copperbelt province minister stated that the development will also enable motorists in the district to save money which they previously spent on buying spare parts.
And Chingola Mayor Titus Tembo has implored residents not to indiscriminately dispose of garbage in the drainages.
Mr. Tembo who expressed satisfaction on the quality of works said people will drastically witness a reduction in the cost of doing business.
Meanwhile residents have thanked government for having worked on the roads which they said were impassable.
Margaret Lutato one of the residents said government is on an agenda to develop the country through infrastructure.
