Congratulation Mr. President. In deed it was a half –time and you have emerged victorious. Your determination and conviction that Zambia was on half –time has been proven. In deed it was a tireless battle but you have emerged victorious. Your effort has been rewarded.

Of course your opponents have rejected your victory and accused you of rigging the election. They have amounted up pressure and argued that your victory was rigged and you do not deserve the Presidency.

According to your opponents the 2016 elections were full of irregularities and this made them loose their race to become President of Zambia. Your opponents have mounted evidence and this would be proved in the courts of law.

Even those whose performance was so clear that they were going to lose election have turned against their failure and point at your election that you stole their vote. In deed they are justified to raise all the allegation and file their petition in the courts of Law. They are Zambians and they need to be respected. They have legal right to be heard by the courts of Laws. Their intention must be respected by all Zambians and accord them the moral support.

Obvious this Mr. President must not shake you or break you. This situation must not worry you or disturb you at all. But it must give you hope and excitement that Zambia has matured and her people are reasonable to understand all matters. This must excite you that the future of Zambia is bright and everyone must be involved. This also must cheer you up because everyone in Zambia can only challenge election results through a legal way rather than using a gun as it is in other African country.

Mr. President this is a great achievement for Zambia when it’s nationals understand that there can be only one winner and anyone with a grievance should seek solutions from the courts of law. So Mr. President we as Zambians must celebrate this achievement. We must make sure that all efforts are made to unite Zambia as we go through this process.

This is why I say congratulation. I congratulate you for emerging victorious and making Zambia proud. I also congratulate the people of Zambia for coming out in numbers to support the elections. This is why we must all be united and cherish the causes of our unity.

Mr. President as I celebrate your victory I would like to bring to your attention the follow issues that would make your Presidency memorable. First and foremost you must unite Zambia. Zambia is divided on development lines and not on tribe lines. People are saying we are divided on tribe lines. But I disagree with such sentiments. Zambia is divided on development lines. I believe Zambia’s unity can only be achieved if the national cake is evenly distributed.

Our former President Dr. Kenneth Kaunda tried to unity Zambia using a developmental achievement and he achieved. Late Patrick Mwanawansa did the same and got it. So Zambia is divided on developmental line. There could be some people who want to divide Zambia through tribe but these have failed lamentably. Their efforts have failed. All the Presidential candidates during elections campaigned on development lines and no one campaigned on tribe lines. This is how they got the votes.

Secondly, Mr. President you need to address the rural areas. It’s like our friends and relatives in rural areas feel side-lined and not Zambian. Why should people in rural area feel being left out on the development agenda. Why should a child in the village walk thousands of kilometre to access best education while a child in town drive to a nearest school. Mr. President why should my grand ma walk all the way to escort a pregnant to deliver while a town fellow walk a short distance to deliver. Mr. President where are the critical agenda for the rural community.

Surely should they remind us that they are also Zambian. Look the people of Bangweeulu they stood tall to vote for you and you have won because of their vote. So Mr. President as we congratulate you, you must remember that all parts of Zambia are important. You must make sure that there is a deliberate policy to make sure all parts of Zambia are developed at the same time. You must encourage all MPs to show you their developmental agenda. You must make sure that all MPs are readily available to share with you their developmental agenda and inspect their programmes randomly without fear or favour.

You must make sure that all MPs spend much of their time in constituency and not only loitering around the streets of Cairo or statehouse seeking favours for their business opportunity. Mr. Presidents all MPs together with parliaments must show the Zambia people what their development agendas are in a monthly or quarterly bullet which parliament must publish.

President there is a lot I can share but allow me to share congratulation. May God richly bless you.
