CHRISTMAS AND BABIES !

The Livingstone Central hospital has recorded four babies born on Christmas with the first one a male baby born at 01:07 Hrs.
Elebetty Chaambwa a Registered Midwife at Livingstone Central Hospital told Livingstone Mayor Eugene Mapuwo when he donated hampers to the Christmas babies that the second baby a female was born at 02:47.
Ms. Chaambwa explains that the third baby a male was born at 07:06hrs while the last a male also was born at 07:20hrs.
And, Mr. Mapuwo says he is elated with how responsible Livingstone residents have become in the last three years.
Mr. Mapuwo told journalists after presenting hampers to the Christmas babies that Livingstone Residents have in the last three years not been breaking bottles on the roads during Christmas
Meanwhile, Livingstone Diocese Bishop Valentine Kalumba said Christians should be merry on Christmas because Jesus mended the relationship between God and man.
Bishop Kalumba said last night during mass that man broke the relationship with God when he sinned but that Jesus came to be born human and later die for the sins of mankind to restore the relationship.
In Mongu Five Christmas babies have been recorded at Lewanika General Hospital.
The babies were born between midnight and 09 hours this morning.
Lewanika General Hospital Acting Nursing- in- Charge Clara Kamona told ZANIS that the first child was  a male  born at exactly 00:02 hrs, followed by a female baby who was born at 01:15
Ms. Kamona said the third  baby was a female and was delivered at 04:55 followed by two males which were born between 05:50 and 09:19 hrs respectively.
And Lewanika General Hospital Management also presented baby humpers to the five Christmas babies.
Presenting the gifts on behalf of the hospital, Ms Kamona said the hospital was happy to be associated with the birth of the five babies on Christmas day hence making the donation.
And receiving the gifts one of the mothers, Kakanda Maulukanda thanked Hospital management for the gesture.
And another mother, Leya Kanyama said it was a great honour to deliver her female baby on the sacred day when the whole world was celebrating the birth of the saviour, Jesus Christ.
Ms. Kanyanga also pledged to strictly raise her child in line with the biblical teachings.
And Chilanga District has recorded 3 Christmas babies, two boys and a girl as at 09 hours this morning.
The first baby boy was born at exactly 00:35 hours ,while the other at 02 hours and the girl at 06:47 hours in the morning.
And Chilanga District Commissioner Edith Muwana who visited the facility has encouraged the mothers of the babies to let the children know God as they grow into responsible citizens.
Ms Muwana has also donated hampers to the mothers of the Christmas babies urging them to take care of the little angels.
She says her office has prepared adequate hampers to distribute to the babies, including those that will be born later in the day.
Meanwhile, Kafue District has recorded 13 christmas babies, six boys and seven girls as of 9 hours this morning.
And Kafue District Commissioner Joseph Kamana who donated hampers to all the babies has commended the health personnel at Kafue General Hospital for doing a great Job.
Mr Kamana says his office thought it wise to give out the hampers to all the babies as  Christmas is a time to give.
