Chifubu MP Pulls Out of C/B PF Chairman Race

Chifubu Member of Parliament Frank Ng’ambi has pulled out of the race for the Copperbelt provincial chairmanship leaving only two candidate vying for the position.

Ng’ambi has scaled down his ambition and will fight for the vice chairmanship.

With Ng’ambi dropping out, the only remaining candidates are Luanshya Mayor Nathan Chanda and current provincial secretary Mike Manda.

The elections for the Copperbelt Province Patriotic Front leadership will be held this weekend.

Incumbent chairperson Stephen Kainga will not be seeking re-election with Kitwe Mayor Christopher Kang’ombe on the race for the vice chairmanship.

President Edgar Lungu is expected to open the Copperbelt Provincial Conference on Saturday, 29th December, 2018 to be held at Garden Court Hotel, Edgar Lungu Conventional Centre.
