Chanda declares UPPZ ready to form government
By Francis Maingaila – (25-10-18) – United Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia (UPPZ) president Charles Chanda has paid glaring tribute to the media on Zambia for helping his party reach all parts of the country.
Chamda said with the help of the media, the UPPZ has become a force to reckon with and is now ready to form government come 2021.
Mr. Chanda suggested that the UPPZ was specifically formed to save the interest of the people of Zambia and is doing just this through service.
According to Mr. Chanda, although UPPZ has no representation in Parliament, it is offering the checks and balances to government and has filled the void which has been left by the parties in government. The UPPZ has brought to the attention of the people what has remained hidden from the public for a very long time and will continue to expose other vices in future.
Unlike other political parties that have existed longer, Mr. Chanda is of the view that UPPZ has taken part in all by elections, including parliamentary, mayoral and council chairperson.
Further, Mr. Chanda states that the UPPZ has put in place good policies to correct the wrong that is destroying the country. The party is worried that the government policies are not working to the advantage of the people and this is the reason why the people want to support UPPZ in the coming election.
Although Zambia gained its independence in 1964, the people are not independent. The country is still governed by colonial acts. For example, the Registrar of Society Act was enacted in 1958. We wonder why the previous governments have not repealed the act. If the MPs cared, they could have also thought of replacing the act with the modern laws so that the country is properly governed with proper laws.
The reason why UPPZ exist is to ensure that the country is governed by proper laws and make the people totally independent economically, socially and politically.
Further, the UPPZ is here to promote the interest of the youth with the purpose of giving the youth an opportunity to take part in the governance system of Zambia. The young people have the capacity to be great leaders with the potential of changing the destine of this country.
To achieve the objective of making Zambia truly free and independent for the purpose of empowering the people of Zambia, the people have a duty to support UPPZ in the coming elections. The party has what it takes to form a good government ready to redeem the people of Zambia.
