Businessman In Court For Killing Wife, Her Lover

A LUSAKA businessman Peter Siwale who allegedly shot dead his wife and her lover failed to appear in court yesterday for explanation of the murder charge because he was not taken to court.

The allegation in the first count is that Siwale, 33 of Meanwood area in Lusaka on July 27 murdered Charity Namukoko.
It is alleged in the second count that Siwale also killed Andrew Chibeka. The case was allocated to senior resident magistrate Ireen Wishimanga.

However, the charges could not be explained because the accused person who is in custody, was not brought to court.

And according to details filed in court, police officers received a report from a woman, Mercy Lukonde, that when they visited the crime scene, officers found two bodies lying dead in a house.

Details revealed that Siwale’s wife was shot on the right shoulder and on the right side of the ribs whilst her alleged lover was shot on the left side of the chest and the left buttock.
