Business and leisure key for growth – Stanbic

Stanbic Bank Zambia says it is committed to supporting its clients in business and leisure to help promote economic growth.

Stanbic Public Relations and Communications Manager Chanda Chime-Katongo during the bank’s second travel agency expo and wine-tasting function held at the Stanbic training centre said such events were important as they promoted networking and partnership.

The event was organised together with Voyagers Zambia and saw several travel agencies and other industry players exhibit.

Katongo said the bank was happy to work with the travel agencies and tourism sector.

“This is the second year running of this event. We realised that our customers have a lifestyle and henceforth partnered with Voyagers to host the event. It brings together different partners in the tourism and also supporting the banks services. We are happy with the number of partners that have showed up,” he said.

She encouraged the partners to make sure of the banks services in their business venture.

Katongo said the bank hoped to add value by providing comprehensive and more meaningful financial services to customers in partnership with relevant stakeholders, as it believes in partnerships.

“This travel indaba has been an opportunity to network as well as get feedback and we hope to create more of such in the future,” she said.

“Such events are an important business practice that can benefit companies in many ways, including building professional relationships, sharing tips from other like-minded businesses, learning new ideas from industry experts, gaining an understanding of best practices, and of course meeting new friends along the way,” she said.
