Boy, 3, dies after being hit by reversing vehicle in Mkushi, Police say

A BABY boy aged 3 has died tragically after he was hit by a reversing vehicle.This happened on Wednesday at about 16:30 hours at Musofu area in Central Province when a driver of a Mitsubishi Canter registration number ALC 8235, identified as Mulenga Bright Chilekwa aged 27 of Ndola was reversing negligently and in the process hit the victim who was on the road.Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo has confirmed the incident to Mwebantu and has identified the victim as James Lungu of Chitambala Village in Chief Chitina of Mkushi District.She said the body of the deceased is lying is in Mkushi Hospital awaiting post mortem.
