ABSA Cup 2024; Numba expecting a tough encounter against MUZA 

Kabwe Warriors head coach Numba Mukamba says he is expecting a tough match this afternoon when his side takes on Mazabuka based side FC MUZA. 

Numba was full of praise for MUZA in his pre match press conference saying the Elegant Dynamites are an exciting team. 

“We have prepared our team from the time we played our League game that we lost (at Zanaco). So far our team has done well in terms of preparations. We have worked on our shortcomings. I think our scoring part has been our problem. We have continued to work on that and we expect much improvement in terms of scoring,” Numba said. 

“We are playing a very exciting team in MUZA. They have been very consistent since they came into the Premier Division. We expect a very tough game playing them but we are geared for them and looking forward to an exciting game tomorrow.”

And Kabwe Warriors captain Clement Mundia says the team is here to win and nothing less.

“I would like to congratulate FC MUZA for coming this far in the competition. They were finalists last season and this year they are in the Semifinals,” he said. 

“We are here and we are ready for MUZA. We are going to give them a good game. We are here to win so that we qualify for the final and take the cup back to Kabwe.”

Kabwe Warriors will be looking to reach their first ABSA Cup final while FC MUZA are looking to return to the final for a second year in a row.

The winner of this year’s ABSA Cup will pocket K800,000, with K350,000 reserved for second place.

The ABSA Life Player of the Tournament, Top Scorer, and Golden Glove will each get K25,000.
