9000 new jobs in Ministry of Health – PS

Cabinet approves over 9,000 new staff positions in the Ministry of Health.

Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary Peter Mwaba said the development will help in responding to the staff challenges the health sector has been facing in the recent past.

Dr. Mwaba said government is determined to ensuring that staff in the health sector compliments to the emerging needs of the health of the people of Zambia.

The Permanent Secretary was speaking when he officially opened the First Sector Advisory Group (SAG) Meeting in Lusaka on Thursday.

The SAG Meeting has brought together government officials and cooperating partners to share information on the performance of the health sector, implementation of its strategic plans and review of its policy focus.
