$20m staked for Kasumbalesa facelift

ZAMBIA Integrated Property Border Crossing Company (ZIPBCC), the company jointly managing the Kasumbalesa border post with Government, is staking US$20 million to build additional facilities at the boundary with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to improve traffic flow and increase revenue collection.
ZIPBCC is proposing to build 10 warehouses, a trans-shipping centre and a dual carriageway from Chililabombwe to the border at Kasumbalesa.
Company representative Sharon Dandovich said the shareholder is prepared to invest US$20 million to modernise infrastructure that is expected to result in increased income generation at the border http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
