20-Year Old Chingola Woman Murders Husband after Dispute

A 20 year old woman of Chingola has been arrested for murdering her husband following a marital dispute.

The couple’s fight also left their 17-months old baby injured after being caught up in the fracas.

Copperbelt Commissioner of Police Charity Katanga who confirmed the development named the deceased as Hazwell Zulu, of House number 4435 Chilola area.

Katanga said the deceased suffered a deep cut on the head.

The police chief said a pan brick was used by the wife identified as Florence Chongo aged 20.

“We received a report of murder in which a 20 year old woman of Chingola is alleged to have killed the husband after a marital dispute, the unfortunate part is that the fight did also lead to the injury of their 17 months old baby who is admitted to Chawama mini hospital and his condition is stable,” she said.

“The body of the deceased is in Nchanga North General hospital mortuary waiting postmodern while the suspect is remanded at Chiwepala police station.”
