17-Year Chingola Lad Convicted for Defiling 13-Year old Juvenile

The Chingola Magistrate Court has convicted a 17 year old Boy in Chingola for allegedly defiling a 13 year old girl.

Magistrate Katulwe Chiluba found the accused guilty of defiling the 13-year old girl who was allegedly in a drunken state.

Facts before Court are that on 8th July, 2018, the suspect did drag the victim in her drunken state and had carnal knowledge of her without her consent just behind some shops in Kalilo area before some passersby intervened.

The juvenile was later arrested and charged with defilement but the charge was later amended to indecent assault.

Magistrate Chiluba found the victim guilty of the offence and convicted him accordingly.

Magistrate Chiluba has since reserved his ruling in the matter to 25th September, 2018 awaiting a report from Social Warfare department.
