ZAMBIA Swimming Union (ZSU) vice-president Guy Phiri says he will contest the position of presidency during this weekend’s elective Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Chisamba.
Phiri said he wants to stand for the top position so that he continues with the union’s developmental programmes at grassroots level.
“I can confirm that I will be standing for the position of president of the Zambia Swimming Union, I want to continue with our development programmes for young swimmers,” he said.
Incumbent David Thompson is not re-contesting his position after serving the union for two terms.
Positions to be contested for at the meeting set for Fringilla Lodge include vice president, honorary secretary, treasurer, recorder, registrar as well as Copperbelt and Midlands representatives.
